Obituary of Helga Miletic

Miletic, Helga (Kiel) - After a life well lived, Helga Miletic passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace Nursing Home in Fergus, on November 28, 2014 at the age of 85. Born in Hemer, Germany on December 7, 1928. Helga was the daughter of Louis and Johanna (Wilke) Kiel. Helga married Mitchel Miletic on June 27,1959. They celebrated 51 years together before Mitchel passed away on August 23, 2010. Helga was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Helga's family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Tricia (Ken) Allan and Carolyn (Tom) Alexander. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Richard (Jackie) Allan, Drew (Jackie) Allan, Derek Allan, Caitlin Alexander, Sam Alexander, and Charlie Alexander and her nieces and nephews. Also remembered by brother-in-law Bob Smith and sister-in-law Klara Kiel. Helga was a very community minded person. She was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club, volunteered for the Cancer Society and was also involved in the St. Joseph's Hospital Guild for many years. Visitation will be Sunday, December 14 from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home. The Celebration of Her Life will be Monday at 11:00 a.m also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Helga to the Alzheimer's Society or the CKHA Guild and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
