Obituary of Jean Ross

Ross, Jean of Chatham, formerly of Chatham Township, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, on Wednesday December 10, 2014, age 90. Loving wife of the late Andrew Ross (1996). Loving mother of Richard (Elaine) of Mitchell's Bay, Marilyn (Dale) Sayers of Dresden and Beth (Steve) Mann of Chatham Township. Mother-in-law of Stuart Dunlop (Lorraine). Grandmother of Doug (Michelle), Robert (Ann Marie), Jeffrey (Jennifer), Andrea (Bryan), Joanne (Ed), Janice (Jeremy), Jason (Danielle), Sarah (Brad), and Candice (Steven). Great-grandmother of fourteen and great-great grandmother of four. Sister of Marion (late George) Deacon of Dresden, Dorothy Phair of Chatham, Marjorie (late Carl) Eltervoog of Florida. Sister-in-law Dolly Simmons and Olga Ross. Predeceased by her twins Linda Dunlop (2010) and Larry Ross (1998). Also by sisters Mae Newell, Catherine Morley, Ruth Pegg, brothers Sydney Simmons, James Simmons, and parents Sidney and Janet (nee Porter) Simmons. Jean was a longtime and active member of New St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Dover. As per Jean's request a private family funeral will be held with Pastor Mark Aarsen officiating. Burial will take place at the Owen Community Cemetery. In Jean's memory donations may be made to the New St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice and may be arranged through the funeral home.
