Obituary of Jack Kenneth Gallaway

GALLAWAY, Jack Kenneth - Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Jack Gallaway passed away at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (2013). Loving father of Mae (Bill) Tacknyk, Ken (Lynne Anne) Gallaway, Herb (Rose) Gallaway, Gregg (Patricia) Gallaway, and Mary-Jean (Brian) Lunn. Cherished grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 24 and great-great-grandfather of one. Also survived by a sister Dorothy Coote, and several nieces and nephews. A special father to Naren and Depa Chakrabarti & family. Predeceased by his parents, one grandson (Michael Gallaway), and one great-grandson (Corban Massey). Family and friends will be received on Wednesday January 7, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at MCKINLAY FUNERAL HOME, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham. Family and friends will also be received on Thursday January 8, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday January 9, 2015, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Sarnia. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
