Obituary of Robert Cartier

CARTIER: Robert - A resident of Dover Township, Robert Cartier passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 78. Born in Dover Township, Robert was the son of the late Alfred and Annie (McLennan) Cartier. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Charron). Dear father to Annette Zimmer (Ed) of Dover Township, Liz Caron (Luc) of Dover Township, Claudette Cartier of Harwich Township, Christine Cartier-Lozon (Dan Waters) of Chatham and Bobby Cartier (Shannon) of Dover Township. Predeceased by his daughter Yvette Cartier-Laprise (2009). Survived by son-in-law Maurice Laprise. Proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Sister Cecile Cartier of Kingston and Marie Mae Cartier of Dover Township. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. As per Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place with private family arrangements to be held. Special thanks to the medical staff at Continuing Care and to the special angels at the Erie St. Clair CCAC for their care and compassion, as well as for their guidance in assisting the family.
