Obituary of Frances Smith

SMITH, Frances Elizabeth (nee Davis) Passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown on February 5, 2015. Born 83 years ago in Smith's Creek, New Brunswick to the late Harry & Laura Davis. Frances is survived by her loving husband and best friend Stuart Smith; daughter Laurie Young of Blenheim, son Barry Smith of Chatham, son Britton Smith of Toronto, her step-children Cheryl (Scott) McKellar of Brantford, Pat (Dale) LeGroulx of Thamesville, Ken (Cheri) Smith of Kent Bridge. Frances will be missed by her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her 4 brothers, 3 sister-in-laws all of the East Coast. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Marjorie Smith of London and many nieces, nephews, and all their families on the coast. Frances enjoyed so much in life, she loved sewing, baking, cooking, gardening, church functions, and her combined family. Fran and Stuart traveled extensively in later years. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather Scott officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Frances Smith to the Alzheimer's Society or the O.S.P.C.A Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
