Obituary of Maurice James Skinner

SKINNER: Maurice James - A resident of Highgate, and formerly of Stratford, Maurice Skinner passed away at the Village on the Ridge on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 85. Born in England, Maurice was the son of the late Henry and Lily (Rye) Skinner. Beloved husband to the late Jeanie (nee Gardiner). Loving father of Janice Schmidt (Tim) of Barrie, Moira Skinner (Mike Schaffel) of Stratford and Philip Skinner of Highgate. Proud grandfather of Saundra, Kenneth, Melanie and Michael. Predeceased by his siblings Harold, Henry and June. Maurice enjoyed many years working in Stratford, running his own business. He had travelled the world with the Royal Air Force, eventually meeting his wife Jeanne who was a member of Women's Auxiliary Air Force in England. As per Maurice's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in England at a later date.
