SPENCE, Vera 'Jean' A resident of Chatham Retirement Resort and formerly of R.R. #5 Dresden, Jean Spence, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Wesley & Edith McGregor. Loving wife to W. Douglas Spence. Cherished mother to Norma Jean Townsend of Chatham, Kathryn & John Wilmott of Port Lambton, Allan & Janet Spence of Dundas. Grandmother to William Townsend (Chantal), and Elizabeth Townsend. Sister to Donald Wesley McGregor of Chatham, Minnie Evelyn Walker of Chatham, and the late James Malcolm McGregor. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
