Obituary of Carole Lee Johnston

JOHNSTON: Carole Lee (nee Coll) - A resident of Ridgetown, Carole Johnston passed away at the Village on the Ridge with her family at her side on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the age of 69. Born in Chatham, Carole was the daughter of the late Carmen and Bertha (McMillan) Coll. Beloved wife of 46 years to Robert Johnston. Loving mother of Lennie Johnston (Tracy), Shane Johnston and Derek Johnston (Kelly) all of Ridgetown. Proud grandmother of Shelby Johnston and Cole Johnston. Dear sister to Jack Coll (Betty) of Morpeth. Predeceased by her sisters Donna Tippin and Shirley Tompkins. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Carole loved gardening, scrapbooking and travelling. She had planned many trips for students and retired teachers alike. She enjoyed her involvement with the Friends of the Library and the I.O.D.E. Carole was a member of the Erie Street United Church. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 with Rev. Judith Fayter officiating. Donations made in memory of Carole to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.
