Obituary of Diane McChesnie

Diane McChesnie (nee Ballantyne) passed on peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home in Chatham, Ontario on April 10th, 2015 at age 81. Diane was a native of Peterborough and longtime resident of Thunder Bay, where she had a successful career with the Provincial Ministry of Government Services. During her younger years Diane enjoyed spending time with her siblings and then her own family at the cottage at Chemong Lake. When she moved to Thunder Bay Diane spent many years enjoying downhill skiing with her family and friends at Mount Baldy. In recent years, Diane lived in Blenheim, Ontario where she had many friends, and was active with the Anglican Church. Diane was pre-deceased by her daughter Pamela (1975), by siblings Jaqueline, Barbara , Peter (2012) and Judith (2015). She is sadly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Barry T. McChesnie, also of Riverview Gardens, Chatham, by daughters Kimberly McChesnie (Rene) of Toronto, and Victoria McChesnie-Nanders (Alan) of Kitchener and by son Bryson McChesnie (Leah) of Thunder Bay. Also missed by grand-son Christopher (Red Deer, Alta.), by grand-daughter Samantha (Toronto) and by great-grandson Aiden (Brantford). A niece and nephews also survive. Diane is also survived by her beloved cat Pepper. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Diane's life will take place at a future time.
