Obituary of Peggy Anne Vaughan

VAUGHAN: Peggy Anne (nee Guttridge) - A lifelong resident of Merlin, Peggy Vaughan passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the age of 67. Born in Chatham, Peggy was the daughter of Harley & Donna (Rhea) Guttridge. Beloved wife of 46 years to Stan Vaughan. Loving mother to Laurie Vaughan of Chatham, Cindy Vaughan-Kennedy (Joe) of Stoney Creek, Michael Vaughan (Lourdes Ramirez-Reyes) of Windsor, David Vaughan (Jennie) of Ridgetown and Bryan Vaughan (Crystal Dakin), Judie Moir (Randy) and Timothy Vaughan (Suzanne) all of Merlin. Much loved “Grandma Turkey” to Matthew, Marsha (Chad); Daniel (Gaby); Joshua, Nicholas, Daniel, Mateo; Amanda, Brandon; Drew, Erin, Robbie; Katie, Kylie, Tyler; Kaylie and Harley. Great-grandmother to Serenity and Dominic. Dear sister to Douglas Guttridge, Linda Dupuis (Al Howes), Sally Benge (Terry) and Warren Guttridge (Heather). Sister-in-law to Mary Guttridge and Shirley Seller (Brian). Predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Joseph Guttridge. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Peggy was a member of the the Comet Rebekah Lodge #97 since 1985 and enjoyed her membership with the Merlin Senior’s Centre for many years. She was very active and helped with numerous projects within the community of Merlin. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Rebekah Lodge Service will take place Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 with Rev. Eric Skillings officiating. Interment to follow at Merlin Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Peggy to the Liver Foundation or the Merlin United Church would be appreciated.
