Obituary of Walter 'Douglas' Spence

SPENCE, Walter 'Douglas' A dedicated farmer and resident of R.R. #5 Dresden, Doug Spence passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 94. Loving husband to the late Jean Spence (March 25, 2015). Cherished father to Norma Jean Townsend of Chatham, Kathryn & John Wilmott of Port Lambton, and Allan & Janet Spence of Dundas. Grandfather to William Townsend (Chantal) of Toronto, and Elizabeth Townsend of Sylvan Lake, AB. Brother to T. Kenneth Spence (Vi) of Chatham. Predeceased by his parents Robert & Hazel Spence, sister Dorothy Carswell, and brother Robert Spence, Jr. Doug was a Past Master of Howard Lodge A.F. & A.M. #391. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:45 p.m., and visitation will take place from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
