Obituary of Nicholas J. Tomen

Tomen, Rev. Nicholas J., passed into the loving arms of Jesus peacefully on Friday June 19, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 93. He will be missed greatly by his surviving family; wife Marguerite, daughters Eunice & husband John Zielonko and Lois Tomen of London.; three grandchildren, Nick & Jen Zielonko, Duane & Laura Zielonko of Stouffville, and Cynthia & Tony Pacheco of Innisfil, eleven grandchildren, three step children, Judy & Paul Gingrich, Rev Bobby & Heather Thirsk, and Kathy & John Dick, many nieces & nephews. Also survived by his sister Nellie Russchen, Lily Fortuna & brothers Paul & Steve Tomen. Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents Anna & John Tomen, Mary Gresko, Olga Michalic, Jean Tomen, Pete & Dan Tomen. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Wednesday June 24, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Evangel Community Church, 76 Sandy St., Chatham on Thursday June 25 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
