Obituary of Bill Hawryluk

HAWRYLUK: Bill - A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Blenheim, Bill Hawryluk passed away with family at his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Wallaceburg, Bill was the son of the late Karl and Ann (Khumyr) Hawryluk. Beloved husband of 68 years to Sylvia (nee Yager). Loving father to Larry Hawryluk (Marie) of Orillia, Paul Hawryluk (Gwen) of Chatham and Kathy Pullen of Lady's Smith, B.C. Proud grandfather to Peter Hawryluk, Tim Hawryluk and Kim Pullen. Great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Nettie Kushniruk, Mary Donaldson, Mike Hawryluk, John Hawryluk, Olga Hawryluk and Ed Hawryluk, nephew Larry Horoky, and his great nephew Michael Hawryluk. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Bill was a WW2 Veteran, having proudly volunteered to serve in North Africa and Italy from 1943 - 1945. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the Legion Service at 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Memorial Service with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Cremation has taken place with an interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery at a later date.
