Obituary of Mary Bernice Davis

DAVIS, Mary Bernice A resident of Chatham, Mary Bernice Davis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Copper Terrace Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born on August 29, 1922 in Blenheim, Ontario, daughter of the late Emma & Leaman Hazlett. Loving wife of the late Morley Davis (1996) and the late William Nicholson (1944). Mother to Robert & Sharon Nicholson, Diane Davis, Stuart & Carol Davis, Brent & Sandy Davis, Judy Sullivan, Gail Davis. Forever missed by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by granddaughter Crystal Davis, great-granddaughter Sydney, and brothers Gerald Hazlett (1990), Llyod Hazlett (2012), and Wayne Hazlett (1990). Mary was a long time member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and a member of Circle 4. She retired from Sears after 16 years as the Assistant Manager of Catalogue Order Office. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Arnold Cemetery.
