Obituary of Marian Spears

SPEARS, Marian (nee Lingard) A resident of Chatham, Marian Spears, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 31, 2015. Born 73 years ago on February 15, 1942, daughter of the late Frank & Thelma Lingard. Beloved wife of John Spears. Loving mother to Michaelanne (Allan), and Shandra. Forever missed by her granddaughter Ashley (Troy). Survived by her sisters Diane, Nancy, brothers Harold, Norman, brother in laws Bill, David (Shirley), and all of their families. Predeceased by sister Blanche. Marian was a member of Sprucedale United Church, Active Lifestyle Centre, Chatham Lawn Bowling Club, Chatham Lions Club, the Ruth Rebekah Lodge Stratford, and Chatham Jaycettes. She was a former Brownie, Girl Guide, Pathfinder leader of Girl Guides of Canada, also serving as area commissioner. Marian was secretary for the Chatham-Kent Community Concerts Association. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. & 7:00p.m.-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. A Private Family Interment will take place on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
