Obituary of Terry Fred Braithwaite

Braithwaite: Terry F. A resident of Chatham, Terry Fred Braithwaite died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 19, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Chatham, 60 years ago, son of Alice (Burke) Braithwaite of Chatham, and the late John Braithwaite (2009). Beloved husband of Agathe Braithwaite (nee Carbonneau). Loving father of Chris & Lee-Ann Braithwaite of Chatham, T.J. Braithwaite of Sydney, Australia, Kim & Paul Glossop of Sydney, Australia. Proud grandfather of Clayton Glossop, Hannah and Brady Barrick. Dear brother of Linda (Neil) Gemmell of London, and Cindy (Norm) Dunlop of Chatham, Barrie (Sharon) Braithwaite of Rockland, and Bryan (Sherry) Braithwaite of Chatham. Dear son-in-law of Bernadette Carbonneau, and the late Edouard (2008). Brother-in-law of Rock & Lise Carbonneau, Lise & Claude Latulippe, Cyr & Diane Carbonneau, Laurier & Maryse Carbonneau, and Valerie & Martin Lacasse. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Terry retired from Navistar in 2009 after 36 years of service. He most recently worked in delivery for Shoppers Drug Mart. Terry enjoyed travelling, golf, and fishing, and most of all, following his children competing in various sports The family wishes to thank Dr. Park Parry, not only as his physician but as a friend; his staff; the caring nurses & Dr. M. Johnson at CKHA Cancer Clinic; Dr. Kocha & Fiona at LHSC Cancer Clinic; Dr. Brock McGregor, CCAC Staff, and VON Nurses Jenn & Meghan for all their support throughout his short, yet difficult battle with cancer. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home.
