Slade: Marion Ruth A resident of Chatham, Marion Ruth Slade, passed away at Riverview Gardens on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 91. She was born on March 23, 1924 in Chatham Township, daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Kelly) Langstaff. Beloved wife of the late John "Arthur" Slade (1981). Loving mother of Beatrice & her husband J. Neil Ross of Windsor, and Charles Slade of R.R. # 6 Merlin. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Florence Slade (2012). Cherished grandmother of Christopher Slade (Mahaela) of Windsor, Kimberley Grant of Toronto, Bradley Ross of Windsor, and Sandra Tomlin of LaSalle. Proud great grandmother of Mary and Anna Grant, and Hayden Tomlin. Dear sister of Jenner Fisher of Strathroy, Lois Simpson & her husband Gary of London, and the late Margaret, Helen, Lloyd, Elliott, Alfred, Crawford, and Arnold. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Helen Langstaff of Sombra, and Muriel Langstaff of Chatham, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, 46 Orangewood Blvd, Chatham. Interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Marion to the Salvation Army or a charity of one's choice are welcomed.
