Obituary of Marjorie Christina Heath

HEATH, Marjorie Christina A resident of Chatham, formerly of Dorchester and London. Is it with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother on Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born in Fergus on July 6, 1923 to the late George (1971) and Ella (1991) Grieve. She was raised on the farm outside of Rockwood until enlisting in the Canadian Womens' Army Corps at the age of 18. She was dispatched to England where she met and married our Father Edward Maurice Heath (1980) on September 8, 1945. Marjorie was an Auxiliary Legion member at Donnybrook Legion, Dorchester and Branch 28 Legion, Chatham for a total of 46 years. Beloved mother of Jill Gilbrook, Judy Brearley (the late Wayne 2007), Darryl Heath and Jim Heath. Favourite granmamma of Joe Wheeler, great gramma of Zachary. Special gramma to Michelle and her fiance Paul. Dearly missed by her sister Mary Croft of Rockwood, many nieces, nephews, Mary, Pat, Jamie Mackenzie and family, Lorrie, Vince, Brianna, and Jordon Tedesco. Especially missed by her "darling cat" Patches, who arrived at her doorstop as a kitten and stayed. Predeceased by sister Dorothy MacKenzie (2011), and niece Beckie (2014) both of Fergus. At Marjorie's request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Interment will take place at Dorchester Union Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Community Living Chatham-Kent or the O.S.P.C.A Chatham-Kent. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com
