Obituary of Mary Rule

RULE A resident of Chatham, Mary Rule died peacefully, surrounded by her family at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday November 29, 2005 at the age of 66. Born in Ridgetown, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Faranec) Goodal. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Rule. Loving mother of Robert Rule Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Chatham, Delynne Riddell and her husband Chris of Dundas, and Susan Richard and her partner Mark Ramey of Barrie. Cherished Gramma of Grant, Olivia, Brendan, Erin, Kiera, Julia, and Sadie. Dear sister of Sr. Emerita Goodal of London, Louis Goodal and his wife Evelyn of Tillsonburg, Bernard Goodal and his wife Fern, Jerry Goodal and his wife Carolyn, all of Ridgetown, and the late John, William and Syl Goodal. Sister-in-law of Lona Goodal and Joanne Goodal, both of Ridgetown, and Joanne Taylor of Chatham. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of St. Joseph's Nurses Alumni, and had worked at St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday and Thursday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Avenue, Chatham on Friday December 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Joseph Nevett celebrant. Interment St. Anthony Cemetery. Donations made by cheque to Canadian Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis Society appreciated.
