Obituary of Stanley Stanski

STANSKI: Stanley Of Chatham, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at his residence surrounded by his family, at the age of 81. Born in Chatham Township to the late Michael and Maria (Woznaik) Stanski. Beloved husband of Edmera (King) Stanski. Dear father of Mark Stanski and wife Jill of Carlisle, Ont., Sandra Eagen and husband Brian of Wyoming, Ont., Debra McGrail and husband Paul of Dresden, and the late Patricia Hartford (2002) Stanley will be sadly missed by his 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Predeceased by Jillian (1988), Drew (1993), and Jacob (2003). Dear brother of Jean Carey of Chatham, the late Julie Wilson and Walter Stanski. Sister in-law Ann Stanski also survives. Stanley was an active member of Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion, having served overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Engineers, 3rd Division. He was a retiree of Eaton Yale. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham, on Friday from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00- 9:00pm. With a Legion Memorial Service at 7:00pm on Friday. Funeral Service at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 11:00am with Rev. John Hodgins officiating. Memorial Donations may be made by cheque to the V.H.A. Nursing Agency, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28 or Community Care Access Center.
