Obituary of Mike Verkaik

VERKAIK: A resident of Chatham. Mike Verkaik has gone to be with his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loved ones on Monday December 26, 2005 at Thamesview Lodge, Chatham at the age of 93. Born in Holland son of the late Area Pieter and Pleuntje (Nachtegaal) Verkaik. Beloved husband of Geertruda Johanna (Snel) Verkaik Dear father of John Verkaik, Mike Verkaik Jr. and his wife Sandra, Henry Verkaik and his wife Tina, Gary Verkaik and his wife Carol, Pauline and her husband George Glassford all of Chatham, and Mary Ann and her husband Wayne Dykema, Pt. Edward and the late Harry Pieter Verkaik (1997) Grandfather of 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Brother of Gerald & Maryann Verkaik, London and Rea DeVreas, Holland. Predeceased by several brothers & Sisters. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Wednesday December 28, 2005 from 2:00 - 4:30 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at the First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir, East, Chatham on Thursday December 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
