Obituary of Grace Moor

Moor: Grace - A resident of Chatham, Grace Moor passed away peacefully at Residence on the Thames on Thursday, November 5, 2015. She was born in Harwich Township, 100 years ago on March 19, 1915, daughter of the late William and Euyene (Burk) Green. Beloved wife 46 years to the late John Franklin Moor (1998). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandy Stead and her husband Gary of London; daughter-in-law Saundra Ashby of Chatham (late Charles Ashby, 2009), and her daughter Betty Lindsay of Chatham (late husband David). Cherished grandmother of April Ashby, Michelle Ashby, Jaclyn Pryde (Jay), Dale Stewart (Barb), and Lee Stewart (Mary Ann) and great grandmother of 5, and several great great grandchildren. Grace was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by her sisters Doris Blondin, Evelyn McPhee, and Margaret Lozon. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was a lifetime member of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Chatham. For many years, she was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Chatham Fire Department. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion-Branch 642 will conduct a memorial service at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Grace to the C-K Children's Safety Village or Branch 642, Royal Canadian Legion.
