Obituary of Charlie Stefik

Stefik, Charles “Charlie” - of RR5 Blenheim, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday November 7, 2015, age 87. Loving husband of Mildred Stefik (nee Brablec) for 63 years. Beloved father of Judy (the late Bill) Guttridge of Merlin and Debbie (Dale) Houston of Thamesville. Grandfather of Billy (Sonya) Guttridge, Marcy (Mike) Copley, Jason Guttridge, Brian (Elisa) Houston, Jenny (Brandon) Bechard, Jeff Houston (Candice Closs), and Brady Houston (Amanda Tanton). Great-Grandfather of Kurtis, Karley, Korinna, Billy, Nadia, Sophia, Kara, Myla and Peyton. Brother of George (Loretta), Denny (Billie) and Jarka (George) Pelisek. Brother-in-law of Frank (late Elaine) Brablec, Charlie (Ingrid) Brablec and Mary (late Ralph) Hipkins. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Emily (nee Lucky) and sister Emily (late Ray) Giroux. Charlie farmed for many years and retired from Navistar International after 22 years. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Wednesday November 11, from 7-9 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Thursday November 12, at 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m.. A reception will immediately follow the funeral. Burial to follow the reception at St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Charlie may be made charity of your choice.
