Obituary of Anne M. Fisher

FISHER, Anne M. - We are sad to announce that Anne passed away suddenly while vacationing in North Queensland, Australia on Thursday 13 August, 2015 at the age of 63. Anne was diving the Lodestone Reef nearest the City of Townsville, N Qld at the time of her death. Born 06 June, 1952 in Toronto, Ontario she was the wife of Tom Heenan and mother of Greg and Evan Heenan of Chatham, Ontario. Anne was educated at York University prior to beginning her policing career with Halton Regional Police Service in 1978 which culminated in a three-year secondement to the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, Ontario. In 1989 Anne became the Director of Corporate Security for Union Gas in the City of Chatham and remained there until the early 2000's when she began her teaching career at St. Clair College, Chatham Campus. Anne's family, her friends and most recently, her students were the most absolute joys of her life. Her fondness of travel to locales both near and far was known to everyone. In accordance with Anne's wishes she was cremated in Australia before being returned to her "three men". Friends and colleagues are welcome to share in her Celebration of Life at the John D. Bradley Centre, 565 Richmond Street, Chatham, Ontario on Sunday 15 November, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. This celebration is absolutely restricted to persons who are 19 years of age and older without exception. Lastly, in lieu of flowers and if desired in Anne's honour, please consider a memorial donation to the Anne Fisher Scholarship Fund as administered by St. Clair College. Sadly missed by all; Anne now and forever stands together in the company of dearest Kathy and Aunt Joan.
