STEELE, Lillian A resident of Chatham, Lillian Steele, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham. Born in North Battleford, SK, daughter of the late Charles Fredericks and Gladys (Fredericks) Anaka. Loving wife of the late William "Bill" Steele. Loving mother to Diane and Ed Myers of Chatham, Shirly and Michael Warren of Chatham, the late Gordon Steele and his wife Anne (Duff) of Kitchener. Grandmother to John and Stephanie Myers, Meredith and Rob Cudmore, Joel Warren, Peter Warren, Scott Steele, and great-grandmother to Dylan, Kate, Kurt, and Jack. Sister to June, Thelma, the late Robert, and the late Lorne. Lillian worked at Canadian Tire for over 20 years. She was an avid Blue Jays fan. She spent many hours watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play hockey and baseball. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Private Family Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
