Obituary of Ruth Ann Lavery

LAVERY: Ruth Ann (McAllister) - A resident of Chatham, Ruth Ann Lavery passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at her side on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the age of 71. Born in Chatham, Ruth was the daughter of Ross and Pauline (Plato) McAllister. Beloved wife of 15 years to Gary. Dearly missed by her twin sister Carol Ann McAllister. Predeceased by her sister Joan McAllister (2005). Survived by cousins June Levy, Keith McAllister (Paulette), Ken McAllister (Lois), Joy Ben (Ed), and Georgie Snooks. Also missed by many friends and extended family. Ruth retired from Union Gas after over 30 years of service. She was an active member of St. Paul's Congregational Church for many years. Ruth also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar with her two sisters, and was a member of various choirs. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Margaret Moriyama officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
