KING, Bob A resident of Chatham, Bob King, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the age 89. Beloved husband for 69 years to Lucy King (nee Van Vaerenberghe). Loving father to Cindy Boulley (Alfred), John King (Sue), LouAnne Surian (Fred), and Wayne King (Sylvia). Papa will be forever remembered by Kevin, Mike, Christine, Jenny, Cory, Shauna, Liam, Chloe, Mike, Elisabeth, Brandon, and his great-grandchildren Jacob, Triston, Ethan, Drew, Logan, Lucy, Serena, Isabelle, Kaylee, Cody, Elijah, Payton, Ady, Ethan, Cadence, Nathan, and Charles. Survived by his brother Murray King. Predeceased by Ken King, Doris Eskritt, Betty Greenwood. Bob was a member of the Chatham Naval Association and a past president, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #642, and the Masonic Lodge, Chatham. After retiring from the navy, he owned and operated Saxony's Restaurant and Kings Plate Catering. Cremation has taken place. A Gathering of family and friends will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #642 on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1:00p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #642 or the Masonic Lodge, Chatham.
