Obituary of George Walter Bartingdale Lee

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Walter Bartingdale Lee who passed on Monday, December 28, 2015 with his family at his side. Formerly of Cayuga, Ontario, George has resided in Chatham for over 40 years. George passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 83. George was the son of the late Albert and Freda Lee of Cayuga. He was the dearly beloved husband of Twyla (Hill) Lee of 58 years and a wonderful father of daughters Lorrie Moffat and her partner Mike Watson, Verna Pinsonneault and husband Phil and sons George Lee Jr. and wife Peggy and Albert Lee and wife Linda. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss him immensely. Dear brother to Barbara Moore. Predeceased by his brother Bob and his sister Peggy. George retired from Navistar after 27 years of service. He also drove truck for Slack Trucking for many years. He was a Veteran in the Canadian Army and was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 159 Cayuga as well as the former Br. 628, Chatham. George will be remembered for his love of music, as well as his love for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed camping with his friends and family. A Celebration of George's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 642, 39 William St. N., Chatham on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
