Obituary of Ann Tedford

Tedford: Ann - A resident of Chatham, Ann passed away on Tuesday January 5, 2016 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance- Chatham Campus at the age of 75. Born and raised in Chatham, daughter of the late George and Madeline (nee Murray) Grocott. Loving wife of 51 years to John R. “Jack” Tedford. Dear mother of Kevin and Terry Tedford, Sam and Annette Tedford, Michael and Suzanne Tedford. Proud grandmother to Tom (Ashley) Praill, Danny Bonner, Matthew Tedford, Jessie Tedford (Maddy Luyt), Joshua Tedford, Amanda Tedford and Brock Tedford. Great-grandmother of Liam Praill. Survived by her sister Marlene (late Ed) Matthew, brothers Donald (Shirley) Grocott, Fred Grocott and Jack (Susan) Grocott, and brother-in-law of Alex Polowick. Ann will also be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Barb (late Sy) Geroux and Lorraine Polowick. Ann was a retired employee of Ross' Flowers for over 45 years. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, Ann enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to the Casino. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday January 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. John Anderson officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. Memorial donations to honour Ann’s life can be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, and would be appreciated by the family.
