Olga von Uders

Obituary of Olga von Uders

Olga von Uders of Chatham, passed away in the arms of her family at home on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 at the age of 69. Daughter of Andrew German and the late Pandora German (2014). Beloved mother of Mandy von Uders and Marni von Uders. Loving grandmother to Isaiah von Uders, all of Chatham. Olga was the dear sister to Irene, Effie, Vikki and Steve. She will be fondly missed by her only niece Lisa, nephews Donny (Angela), Jason (Tara), Jeremy (Heather), many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Olga was born in the tiny village of Nevoliny in Lerin, Macedonia on September 20th, 1946. She emigrated to Canada in 1955 with her parents and 2 sisters and settled in Toronto. Once in Toronto, her youngest sister and brother were born. Olga gave birth to Mandy in Toronto in 1968 and then Marni in Mississauga in 1978. Olga and her 2 daughters moved to Chatham in 1978. Olga devoted her entire life to serving The Lord, taking care of her family, serving the church and others. Olga will be remembered as a loving, giving, selfless and devoted mother and grandmother, teacher of The Word, doer of The Word, spiritual mentor councillor, prayer warrior and worshiper. Her heart’s desire was that her family, friends and public at large would come to know The Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. She remained passionate about her relationship with Jesus, singing, gardening, decorating and cooking. Her passions extended to her family first, as she wanted nothing more than their happiness. As heavily involved as she was in ministry and serving others, she always made her family a priority as she lived by her words “Your first and most important ministry is within the walls of your own home”. Her heart’s greatest desire was to see Jesus face to face in Glory. Although her tender embrace and words of love, encouragement and knowledge will be greatly missed, she will remain cherished deep in our hearts forever. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m..
