Obituary of Donald Ross Gosnell

GOSNELL: Donald Ross - A lifelong resident of Highgate, Don Gosnell passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the age of 81. Born on the family farm in Orford Township, Don was the son of Frank and Gladys (Wolfe) Gosnell . Beloved husband of 31 years to the late Marg (nee Titus) (1994). Loving father of Sharon Alliet (Art) of Thamesville, Tom Gosnell (Stephanie) of Woodstock and David Gosnell (Elaine) of Kitchener. Proud grandfather of Andrew, Alannah; Ethan and Claire. Dear brother of Eva Ingram (John) of Dewinton, AB. Predeceased by his brother Tom and his infant brother John. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Don took over the family farm at the age of 16, and actively farmed the land for over 60 years. Proud member of the Kent Historic Auto Club for over 44 years. Don was a member of the Highgate Lodge #336 A.F. and A.M., the Scottish Rite, the York Rite and the AHCOM Shrine Club. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Masonic Lodge Service will be held Sunday at 6:45 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 with Rev. Tim Lukings officiating. Interment to follow at Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate. Donations made in memory of Donald to the Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Bruce B. Foster Foundation would be appreciated.
