Obituary of Joanne "Jo" Barclay

Barclay, Joanne “Jo” - of Ridgetown, passed away at the Village on the Ridge, on Thursday March 10, 2016, age 78. Daughter of the late Gordon and Myrta (Scane) Geddis. Wife of George Barclay for 59 years. Mother of Brenda (Doug) Brush of Ridgetown and Jim Barclay of Bothwell. Grandmother of Jeff Barclay (Jen Magdic) of St. Thomas, Danielle Brush of Ridgetown and Stephanie Brush of Ridgetown. Sister-in-law of Joanne Jewell (late Roy) of Chatham, Rose Mitchell (Alfred “Tootsie”) of Tilbury and Mike (late Gloria) Barclay of Exeter. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and the family dog Pebbles. Jo worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for 35 years. She enjoyed spending her summers at Hickory Grove Family Campground and also travelling to many campgrounds. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 11am at the Funeral Home with Arpid Petrik officating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations in memory of Jo to the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
