Obituary of Doreen Ethel Faflak

FAFLAK: Doreen Ethel (nee Hedrick) - A resident of Chatham, Doreen Faflak passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the age of 90. Born in Leamington on September 29, 1925, Doreen was the daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie Hedrick. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Faflak (1996). Loving mother of Jim Faflak (Nancy) of Alvinston, Pat Sloan (Lyle) of R.R. # 3 Chatham and Joel Faflak (Norm) of London. Proud grandmother of Sarah Orrange (Patrick), Emily Faflak (Drew), Darren Sloan, D'Arcy Sloan and the late Paula Faflak. Doreen is survived by her brother Jack Hedrick (Beatrice) of Windsor. Sister-in-law to June Hedrick of Blenheim. Predeceased by her siblings Agnes Cutt, Bette Clark, Edward Hedrick, Bill Hedrick, Don Hedrick and Caroline Hewings. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family as well as her church family at Zion United. Special thanks to the staff at Chatham Retirement Resort for taking such good care. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. with Marsha Roberts officiating.
