Obituary of Grace Morden

Morden, Verbena Grace (nee Luff) - of Muirkirk. Grace passed away peacefully at Copper Terrace, Chatham, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, age 88. Loving wife of Ernest Morden for 54 years. Beloved mother of Lee and Christine Morden of Calgary, Alberta and Robert Morden of Muirkirk. Sister of Joy and Bruce Osmond of Oshawa and George and Emma Luff of Wing’s Point, Newfoundland. Predeceased by her parents Selby Allen Luff and Mary Louisa Pearl (nee Smith) and infant daughter Joan Marie Morden (1964). Grace was a long-time member of Evangel Community Church. A teacher, Grace taught school in Newfoundland and later worked as a bank teller in Toronto, Ontario. In 1961, Grace married Ernest and followed him to the farm in Orford Township where she devoted her life to raising their family. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown, Ontario on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 19 from 1 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Pastor Chris Couper officiating. Burial to follow at the Duart Cemetary.
