Obituary of Walter Charles Homewood

Homewood, Walter Charles Walter died peacefully with his family by his side at the C-K Hospice, Chatham, ON, on Wednesday August 10, 2016 in his 90th year. Walter was born in Orford Township and was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Hetherington) Homewood. Beloved husband of his wife of 69 years, Marion (Palmer) Homewood. Dear father of Cathy and Eric Moulton, Chuck and Nancy Homewood and Cheryl and Alain Nadeau all of Chatham. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Kind brother of Mary Jean Winship of Michigan. Fondly remembered by his special cousins Ron and Valerie Erwin of Michigan. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Legion Branch # 642 will hold a service Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Sunni Shular, officiating. Donations made in memory of Walter to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
