Obituary of Anne Goens

Goens, Marjorie "Anne" - of Highgate, passed away at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown, on Thursday August 18, 2016, age 79. Beloved wife of Jerry Goens. Loving mother of Tom Goens of Highgate and Alan (Cindy) Goens of Muirkirk. Grandmother of Melanie and Becky. Sister of Helen (Ron) Barnes of Oakville. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary (nee Hebblethwaite) McLaren. Anne taught school beginning her career at Slabtown, followed by New Scotland and H.H.M. until retirement. She was a member of the Women's Institute and a life member of the Retired Women's Teachers of Ontario - CK Branch. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East on Sunday August 21, 2016 from 2-5 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday August 22, 2016 at 11 am with the Rev. Judith Fayter Officiating. Burial to follow in the Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
