Obituary of Nellie Janosek

Janosek, Cornelia Wilhelmina Maria “Nellie” - of Ridgetown, passed away at home on Wednesday September 7, 2016, age 76. Loving wife of the late Joseph Janosek. Beloved mother of Helen Janosek of Ridgetown, Joseph Janosek of Alberta, and Michael Janosek of Windsor. Loving grandmother of the late Anthony Janosek; and Juliana Janosek and Michael Janosek. Will also be dearly missed by Natasha, Michelle and Allison Sheeler. Sister of the late Henny (late George) Franssen, the late Mary (Bernard) Burm, Nettie DeMaat, Paul (Eda) Soudant, Mary Lou (Richard) Depelsmaeker, and the late Leo (Anna) Soudant. Will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased also by her parents Rosa Lie Soudant (nee Ver Steegen) and Harry Soudant. Nellie was born in Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands on Aug 13, 1940. She moved to Canada at the age of ten eventually settling in Chatham-Kent where she met her husband and raised their family there. Nellie was a long-time member of the Catholic Women’s League in Ridgetown and was Past President of Green Ridge Women’s Institute. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown, on Friday September 9, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers will be shared at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, George St., Ridgetown on Saturday September 10, at 11 am with Fr. Martin Johnston Celebrating.
