Obituary of Murray Wellerd

WELLERD: Murray Alvin - A resident of Chatham, Murray Wellerd passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the age of 86. Born in Leamington, Murray was the son of the late Ernest and Elsie (Markey) Wellerd. Beloved husband of the late Doris Jean (Stewart) Wellerd (2002). Loving father of Cynthia Cimoroni (Morris) and Gregory Wellerd, both of Chatham. Brother of William Davidson of Windsor. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Murray was an active member of Thames Christian Fellowship Church. He had a passion for driving - especially his 1980 Cordoba and enjoyed dinners and outings with his best friend Carol. He retired as a manager from Husband Transport after many years of service. He also enjoyed golfing with all of his retired friends at Indian Creek. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m.. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim at a later date.
