Obituary of Ursula Frances Attewell

A lifelong resident of Chatham who recently moved to Welland to be closer to her family, Ursula Attewell passed away at NHS Port Colborne site on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the age of 90. Ursula was the daughter of the late Bert and Gladys (Grocott) Warren. Beloved wife of 68 years to the late George Attewell. Cherished by daughter, Karen (Dana) Goldhawk of Fonthill, ON and son, Patrick (Krys) Attewell of Lake Wylie, SC. Proud grandma of Erin (James) de Prinse of Beamsville, ON and Matthew (Shufen) Goldhawk of St. Catharines, ON. Great-grandma of Benjamin and Katelyn de Prinse. Loving sister to Bob (the late Aileen) Warren, the late Dennis (the late Inez) Warren, Ron (Gladys) Warren, Norman (Delnora) Warren, Millicent Warren and Charm (the late Bill) Burnham. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family and her four- legged friend, Sparky. Ursula had been a member of Christ Church for many years as well as a founding member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. She enjoyed a good round of golf, playing cards and spending time with her family. Many will remember her as an outgoing person who loved to hear or tell a good joke. Family to receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St.Clair Street, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Ursula's life will be held on Wednesday at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Ven. Paul Millward officiating. Donations made in memory of Ursula to the MS Society of Canada and the O.S.P.C.A. Chatham-Kent would be appreciate by the family .
