BOOGAART: Mary Petronella (Van Bommel) - A resident of Chatham, Mary Boogaart passed away at her home with her family at her side on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the age of 73. Born in Milheeze, The Netherlands, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Tina (Bankers) Van Bommel. Beloved wife of 53 years to John Boogaart . Loving mother of Andy Boogaart (Julie) of Chatham, James Boogaart (Nancy) of Toronto and Diane Brown (Steve) of Chatham. Proud Grandma of Faith Ciupka (Matt) of Belle River, David Boogaart (fiancee Justine) of Chatham, Kristen Innes (Thomas) of Edmonton, AB; Cameron Boogaart, Kayleigh Boogaart, Breanna Boogaart, Bryson Boogaart and Briar Boogaart all of Toronto. Great-Grandma to Logan Ciupka, Emma Boogaart, James Innes and Adalynn Innes. Dear sister to William Van Bommel (late Theresa), Toon Van Bommel (Toos), Paula Koolen (Ted), Martin Van Bommel (Toni), Wilma Goertz (late Joe) and Joe Van Bommel (Joey). Predeceased by her brothers John Van Bommel, Louis Van Bommel, Karel Van Bommel, and Frank Van Bommel. Survived by sisters-in-law to Anne Van Bommel, Anne Van Bommel and Jaantje Van Bommel. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family in Canada, The Netherlands and Australia. Mary had worked at Siemens VDO in Tilbury for 14 years. She was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament CWL for over 25 years. Mary will be remembered for her faith and her devotion to her family. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 145 Victoria Ave, Chatham at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 with Fr. Jim Higgins as celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Mary to the V.O.N. Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
