Obituary of Lorette (Donais) Jackson

JACKSON: Lorette (nee Donais) - A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Wheatley, Lorette Jackson passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the age of 68. Born in Leamington, Lorette was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Goodreau) Donais. Beloved wife to Robert Filby. Loving mother of Frederick Jackson of Chicago, IL and Robert Jackson of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Jaymee, Robie-Lynn and Gracie-Jane. Beloved sister of Beatrice St Denis, Bob and Marie Donais, Lorraine (2014) and Henry (1996) Marchand, Pauline and Rene (2012) Blain, Bertha and Alfred Thibeault, Wilfrid (1996) and Myra Donais, Madeline and Eugene (1999) Blain, Maurice and Jackie Donais, Donald and Bernice Donais, Rose and Dick Van Veen, Margaret and Francis Rivait, Florence and John Van Veen. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Lorette was an active member of the Active Lifestyle Centre in Chatham. She enjoyed many years with the Red Society Hat Society, and many car shows with the Kent Historic Auto Club. Special thanks to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital and the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their care and compassion. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Lorette's Life at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Eric Skillings officiating. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date.
