Obituary of Allen Brandsma

BRANDSMA: Allen - A resident of Chatham, Allen Brandsma passed away at Riverview Gardens on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the age of 79. Born in The Netherlands, Allen was the son of the late Vareld and Grietje (Wieringa) Brandsma. Allen was married to Anne (nee Matthuis) and together they had four children: Melissa Brandsma of Cambridge, Paul Brandsma of Guelph, Vanya Mathews of Kitchener and the late Yolanda Brandsma. Grandfather to Kaleb and Arya Dacosta. Predeceased by his sister Anne Kapki (late Nick) and his brother Frank Brandsma (late Aly). Also missed by friends and extended family. Allen had been an active and faithful member of Grace Christian Reformed Church in Chatham and enjoyed living at the Chatham Retirement Resort for many years. Cremation has taken place with a private family service to be held in Cambridge at a later date. Donations made in memory of Allen to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
