Obituary of Ida May Trottier

TROTTIER, Ida (nee Ripley) Ida Trottier, a resident of Chatham, passed away at the Residence on the Thames on Friday, December 30, 2016 in her 90th year. Ida was the daughter of the late William & Nellie Ripley. Loving wife of the late Leonard Trottier. Cherished mother of Charlene McGill of Chatham and Katherine Crutchley of Edmonton. Grandmother of McKenzie McGill, Jonathon Bellamy, Christopher Bellamy, Lindsey Whitmarsh, Colin Whitmarsh and Stephen DeClark. Great-grandmother of Paige, Katelin, Kallie, Jonathan and Vanyel. Sister of Melvin Ripley of Chatham. Predeceased by siblings, Robert Ripley, Floyd Ripley, Betty Russelo and Thelma Ross. Missed by many nieces, nephews and sister-in-law, Helen Trottier. Ida retired after 22 years of service with Eaton Yale Suspension as a Divisional Purchasing Manager. She thoroughly enjoyed hosting the annual family holiday parties, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As well as spending her time gardening and with her furry friends she has had over the years. Family to receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 12:00 p.m until the Celebration of Ida’s Life at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery to take place at a later date.
