Obituary of Della Gertrude Kalp

KALP: Della Gertrude (nee Fulcher) - A resident of Chatham, and formerly of St. Mary's, Della Kalp passed away at Riverview Gardens with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 93. Born in St. Mary's, Della was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Elliott) Fulcher. Beloved wife of 36 years to the late Lawrence Kalp (1983). Cherished mother of Jim Kalp (Deb) of Chatham, Sandra Vanco (Jozef) of Chatham and Connie Duphette (friend Mike Klinard) of Dover Township. Predeceased by her son Larry William Kalp (2000). Proud grandmother of Jeff Vanco, Joel Vanco, Darby Kalp, Ryan Kalp, Tammy Bohunicky, Dean Duphette, Lacey McMahon, Kristina Devlin, James Kalp and Corey Day. Predeceased by her grandsons Jamie Crome and Dan Duphette. Great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Charles Fulcher (Susan) of Walkteron. Predeceased by her sisters Ilene, Alda, Leora, Verda and brothers Jack, Frank and William. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Della loved gardening and cooking for her friends and family. She had a love for life and lived life to the fullest. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 with Rev. David Tatsu officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Della to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
