Obituary of Raymond Chandler

Raymond Chandler, a resident of Chatham, peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the age of 90. Raymond was the son of the late Leonard & Mabel (nee Wingate) Chandler. Beloved husband of 68 years to Bernice (nee Iles) Chandler. Loving father to Linda (Arlie) Haskell, Lou Ann Stirling, Wayne (Helen) Chandler & Brian (Debbie) Chandler. Grandfather to 10 grandchildren. Great-grandfather to 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brother, William (Bill) Chandler. Missed by sister-in-law, Donna Chandler. Family to receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Donna Green, officiant. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery to follow. Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
