Obituary of Leila Lynn Cedar

Leila Lynn Cedar passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the age of 36. Leila was the daughter of the late Leo & Shirley Cedar. Loving wife of 2 years to Robert Ritchie. Sister of Cassandra Bowles of Amherstburg, Meka Cedar of Tilbury, Bobbie-Jo Labonte of Tilbury, Scott Young, Brandi Young & David Young, all of Alberta. Special aunt to many nieces, nephews & great-aunt to one. Sister-in law to Laura Derbyshire & Brad Ritchie. Leila was an extremely courageous fighter, battling for over two decades with Myotonic Dystrophy. She was a miracle & will be sadly missed by many. Family to receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Donna Green to officiate. Cremation to take place. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Leila may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
