Obituary of Eldon Dent

DENT: Eldon - A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Essex County, Eldon Dent passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the age of 97. Born in Comber, Eldon was the son of the late Frank and Louisa (McMullen) Dent. Beloved husband of 56 years to Brenda (nee Ashby). Father to Lee Ann Brooker of Chatham and Mark Eldon Dent (Joan) of Blenheim. Papa to Justine McKenzie (Aaron) of Blenheim, Emily Nudds (Justin) of Port Coquitlam, BC, Hollie Pitcher (Chad) of Newfoundland, Melanie Hunt of Newfoundland and Christian Hunt of Blenheim. Great-Papa to Adrian, Alex, August and Arizona McKenzie, Hannah, Liam and Joel Pitcher. Brother to Eleanor Drinkwalter of Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his brothers Albert and Georgie. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Eldon was the secretary for a chartered accountant in Essex as well as a secretary at an Essex High School. He then went on to start a cleaning business which he ran with his son Mark until his retirement at 92. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 353 Talbot Street East, Blenheim on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
