MYERS: Joanne nee Lebrun (Brown) - Peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Chatham Hospice surrounded by her family, at the age of 79. Daughter of the late Ovila and Edna (Lozon) Brown. Loving wife of Norm for 60 years. Mother of Jean-Marc 'Nipper' (Luanne), the late Fern (2014) and Carrie, Anne-Marie (Ken) and Anne-Louise (Wayne). Devoted Memere of Jason (Bailey), Jorden, Meaghan; Patrick (Jess), Brent, Erica; Richard (Heather), Hope, the late Faith (1996); Jhaquelline, Khristyn. Loving great Grandma of Mikaylah and Austyn. Great furry friend Gigi. Dear sister to the late Melvin (2000) and Lorette, the late Rena (1982) and Gerard (2008), Hazel and the late Hector (2004), the late Stan (2007) and Ruth, the late Aline (2016) and John (2016), Madeleine and Seville, Doris and Jim, Jean and Ron, the late Alice (2003), Leonard and Jacqueline, Jim and Anne, and Lucille and Donat. Sister-in-law of the late Roger (1964), the late Rosaire (2016) and Anne (2002), Aline and Einar, the late Gerald (2010) and Bonnie, Louis, the late Maurice (1989), Michael and Brenda, Ron and Pam. God-mother of Jeff and Gabriel and aunt to many more nieces and nephews. Joanne retired from St. Joseph's Hospital after over 20 years of service. She was involved with the Ladies of St. Anne's of Pain Court and enjoyed her time as a school monitor at Ecole St. Catherine. She also worked as a housekeeper at the rectory for many years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Monday at 4:00p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Church, 24156 Winter Line Road, Pain Court at 10:00a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 with Fr. Michael Michon and Fr. Eugene Roy concelebrating. Interment to follow at St. Philippe Cemetery, Grande Pointe. Donations made in memory of Joanne to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, Pet and Wildlife Rescue or the Knights of Columbus, Council 9693 (Pain Court) would be appreciated.
