Obituary of Donald Stanbury
A resident of Chatham and formerly of Ridgetown, Donald Stanbury peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the age of 76.
Born in Auburn, Ontario, son of the late Harold & Vernice Stanbury.
Beloved husband of the late Willa (nee Swain) (2001) & late Bonnie Ann (nee Squire) (2014).
Dear father of Dawn Morton (Tim) of Kelowna, BC, Susan Goodwin of Terrace, BC.
Grandfather of Cara, Tanner, Calina, Trinity & Odin.
Brother of Bill Stanbury (Merle) of Goderich,& Lois Dannewald (Jon) of Mount Albert, ON.
Brother-in-law of Linda Marchand of Chatham, Walt Squire (Ruth) of Chatham, Dave Squire (Annette) of Tilbury, Katy Squire of Texas & nephew Lorne Titus of Chatham.
Predeceased by brothers, Floyd Stanbury, Ken Stanbury, Bob Stanbury, brothers-in-law, Bob Squire & Jim Squire, nephew Rob Stanbury, Jodie Everett Titus, & niece, Sandra Stanbury.
Donald worked at Eaton Yale in Wallaceburg for 23 years as a general laborer. He was an avid fan of watching wrestling, camping, riding his bicycle & loved attending the Ball family reunions.
Family to receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Private Funeral Service of Donald's life will be celebrated. Cremation to follow with interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Donald may make one to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
