Obituary of Clifford George Vince

VINCE: Clifford George -

A lifelong resident of Fletcher, Cliff Vince passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his family at his side on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the age of 73.

Born in Chatham, Cliff was the son of the late Alger and Janet (Craner) Vince.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Betty (nee Stevenson).

Loving father of Charlotte Piper (Wayne) of London and Steve Vince (Linda) of Fletcher.

Proud Papa of Tyne and Tori Piper and Jessica and Matthew Vince.

Dear brother of Ruth Wilcox (late Raymond), Alma Babula (George), Leta Morgan (late Bob), Henry Vince (Bev), Elwin Vince (Linda) and Tom Vince (Sue). Predeceased by his sisters Mary Morgan (late Ray) and Jean Vanderveeken (Rev. William).

Brother-in-law and lifetime friend to Gary Stevenson (Elizabeth). Predeceased by brother-in-law Don 'Tiny' Stevenson.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Cliff farmed in the Fletcher area from a very early age. He was an avid singer with the Friends of Buxton Men's Choir and the Fletcher United Church Choir and was President of Stewart Cemetery for over 30 years.

Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 1:30pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with Rev. Jim Haupt officiating. A Private Family Interment will be held at Stewart Cemetery at a later date.
